முன் எப்போதும் இல்லாத வகையில், ஏப்ரல் முதல் செப்டம்பர் முடிய உள்ள கோடை, குறுவை, முன்சம்பாப் பருவத்திற்குத் தேவையான மொத்த உரத் தேவையில் 43 சதவீத உரங்கள் தற்போது மாநிலத்தில் இருப்பு வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதாவது, யூரியா தேவையில் 39 சதவீதமும், டிஏபி தேவையில் 50 சதவீதமும், காம்ப்ளக்ஸ் தேவையில் 60 சதவீதமும், சூப்பர் பாஸ்பேட் தேவையில் 38 சதவீதமும் இருப்பு உள்ளது.
பொட்டாஷ் உரத்தைப் பொறுத்தவரை, வெளிநாடுகளில் இருந்து இறக்குமதி செய்யப்படுகிறது. தமிழ்நாட்டிற்கு தேவையான பொட்டாஷ் உரம் நியூ மங்களூர் துறைமுகத்தில் இறக்குமதி செய்யப்பட்டு விநியோகம் செய்யப்பட்டு வருகிறது. இதுமட்டுமல்லாது, மே மாதம் 3 ஆம் வாரத்திற்குள் 43,000 டன் இறக்குமதி பொட்டாஷ் உரத்தை தூத்துக்குடி துறைமுகத்தின் மூலம் கொண்டு வரவும் அரசு நடவடிக்கை எடுத்துள்ளது.
சீரான உர விநியோகத்தை உறுதி செய்ய அரசு எடுத்துள்ள நடவடிக்கைகள்:
போதுமான அளவு அனைத்து இரசாயன உரங்களும் தற்போது இருப்பு வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. உழவர் பெருமக்கள் பயிரின் தேவைக்கேற்ப மண்வள அட்டையில் பரிந்துரைக்கப்பட்ட உரங்களை மட்டும் பயன்படுத்தினால் போதும். அதிக உரமிட்டால் மகசூல் அதிகரிக்கும் என்பது தவறான கருத்து.
மாறாக, அளவுக்கு அதிகமாக உரமிடும் போது, செலவு அதிகரிக்கும் என்பதுடன், பூச்சி, நோய் தாக்குதலும் ஏற்படும் என்பதால், விவசாயிகள் பயிரின் தேவைக்கேற்ப உரங்களை வாங்கி பயன்படுத்த வேண்டும்’’ என்று வேளாண்மை உழவர் நலத்துறை அமைச்சர் எம்.ஆர். கே. பன்னீர்செல்வம் கேட்டுக்கொண்டுள்ளார்.
