அதன்படி, சென்னை, அண்ணா பல்கலைக்கழக வளாகத்தில் 54 கோடியே 61 இலட்சம் ரூபாய் செலவில் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள தமிழ்நாடு தொழில்நுட்ப (iTNT) மையத்தை முதலமைச்சர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின், காணொலிக் காட்சி வாயிலாக திறந்து வைத்தார்.
இம்மையம், புதுமைகளை (Innovations) ஒரு சேர அமைப்பதற்கேற்ற சூழ்நிலையை உருவாக்க ஒரு ஊக்கியாகச் செயல்பட்டு, உலகளவில் தமிழ்நாட்டை முதல் 10 இடங்களில் நிலை நிறுத்துவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டது. ஆழ்தொழில்நுட்ப (DeepTech) மற்றும் வளர்ந்துவரும் தொழில்நுட்ப முனைவோர்களை ஊக்குவித்து, பெரு நிறுவனங்கள் மற்றும் கல்வி நிறுவனங்களுடன் ஆராய்ச்சி மற்றும் மேம்பாட்டில் ஒருங்கிணைந்து, உயர்தொழில்நுட்ப முன்மாதிரி மற்றும் வடிவமைப்பு வசதிகளை அமைத்து உலகளாவிய இணைப்புகளை இந்த மையம் உருவாக்கும்.
