மதுரை விமானநிலையத்தின் ஓடு பாதையை விரிவாக்குகிற விஷயத்தில் நிலம் கையகப்படுத்த வேண்டிய பகுதிகள் என்பது முழு முற்றாக முடிவடைந்து இருக்கிறது அதில் கடந்த ஓராண்டுகளாக தமிழக அரசு பல நல்ல முயற்சிகளை செய்தது. அதன் விளைவாக தனி நபர்களிடமிருந்து நிலங்கள் எடுக்கப்பட வேண்டியது முற்றாக முடிவு பெற்று இருக்கிறது. இரண்டு குளங்களினுடைய சிறு பகுதி என்பது வகை மாற்றம் செய்யப்பட வேண்டிய வேலைகள் நடந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறது. விரைவில் அது முடியும். என்ற நல்ல செய்தியை பகிர்ந்து கொள்கிறோம்.
இவ்வருடம் ஏப்ரல் மாதத்தில் இருந்து மதுரை விமான நிலையம் 24*7 விமான நிலையமாக செயல்படும் என்று விமானத்துறை அறிவித்த அறிவிப்பு இப்பொழுது வரை நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்படாமல் இருக்கிறது. மதுரையினுடைய விமான நிலைய வளர்ச்சியில் ஒன்றிய அரசின் அக்கறையின்மை தொடர்ச்சியாக
நீடிக்கிறது.
பல அழுத்தங்களுக்கு பிறகு தான் 24×7 என்பதை ஒத்துக் கொண்டு அவர்கள் அறிவித்தார்கள் ஆனால் இன்றைக்கு வரை அதை நடைமுறைப்படுத்த மறுக்கிறார்கள். அது குறித்து இன்றைய கூட்டத்தில் மிக கவலையோடு விவாதிக்கப்பட்டது. இதனுடைய தொடர்ச்சியாக நாடாளுமன்றத்தின் குளிர்காலக் கூட்டத் தொடரில் தென் மாவட்டங்களில் இருக்கிற நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்கள் அனைவரையும் சேர்த்து அதேபோல மதுரை விமான நிலைய ஆலோசனை குழு உறுப்பினர்களையும் இணைத்து ஒன்றிய அமைச்சரை சந்தித்து இது குறித்து வலியுறுத்துவது என்ற முடிவினை எடுத்து இருக்கிறோம்.

பிரதமர் மோடி அவர்களுடைய வாரணாசி தொகுதி விமான நிலையம் சர்வதேச விமான நிலையமாக இருக்கிறது. அதனை விட பலமடங்கு மதுரை விமான நிலையத்தில் பயணம் செய்கிற பயணிகளின் எண்ணிக்கை அதிகம். எனவே இது முழுக்க ஒரு அரசியல் காரணத்துக்காக செய்யப்படுகிற ஒரு வஞ்சகம் அதனால்தான் தொடர்ந்து இவ்வளோ பெரிய ஒரு போராட்டத்தை நாங்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருக்கிறோம்.
மதுரை விமானநிலையம் ஏப்ரல் மாதத்திலிருந்து 24 மணி நேரமும் இயங்கும் என்ற அறிவிப்பை வெளியிட்ட ஆணையை நடைமுறைப்படுத்துவதில் என்ன பிரச்சனை இருக்கிறது. அதற்கு இப்பொழுது பாதுகாப்பு வீரர்கள் குறைவாக இருக்கிறார்கள் என்ற காரணத்தை சொல்கிறார்கள். போதிய பாதுக்காப்பு படை வீரர்கள் இல்லாமல் எப்படி இந்திய விமானத்துறை ஒரு அறிவிப்பை வெளியிட்டது. எனவே சொத்தையான காரணங்கள் தான் இதற்கு அடிப்படை. எந்த ஒரு வளர்ச்சி திட்டத்தையும் உண்மையான ஒரு அக்கறையோடு செய்ய அவர்கள் தயாராக இல்லை.
அதேபோல் தேசிய நெடுஞ்சாலையை சுரங்க பாதை வழியே இயக்குவது என்ற ஒரு ஆலோசனை விமான துறையால் ஆய்வு செய்யப்பட்டது. ஆனால் வாரணாசியில் இதனை சாத்தியப்படுத்தி இருக்கிறார்கள். மதுரை விமான நிலையம் என்று வருகிற பொழுது சுரங்கப்பாதை அமைக்க 600 கோடி ரூபாய் செலவு ஏற்படும். அதைவிட சுற்றுச்சாலைக்கு போனால் 100 கோடி ரூபாய்க்கு குறையும் என்று சொன்னார்கள். இந்த பொருளாதார கணக்கு ஏன் வாரணாசிக்கு பொருந்தவில்லை. அதே திட்டம் மதுரைக்கு என்று வருகிற பொழுது 600 கோடி ரூபாய் செலவு வீண் என்று காரணம் சொல்கிறார்கள்.
எனவே, பல தடைகளைத் தாண்ட வேண்டி இருக்கிறது. தாண்டுவோம். நாம் வெற்றி பெறுவோம்”
