சில நாட்களுக்கு முன்பு மீண்டும் நான் அமைச்சர் சேகர்பாபு -விடம் இது குறித்து நினைவுபடுத்திய 24 மணி நேரத்திற்குள், அக்கோயில் பரம்பரை அறங்காவலர் பொறுப்பிலிருந்து ஏ.ஆர். கோபி தற்காலிமாக பதவி நீக்கம் செய்து ஆணைப் பிறப்பித்துள்ளார்கள்.
தேர்தல் நேரத்தில் தி.மு.க. ஆட்சிக்கு வந்தவுடன் மக்களுக்கும் தி.மு.கழக ஆட்சிக்கும் இடையே பாலமாக செயல்பட்டு மக்கள் பிரச்சனைகளுக்குத் தீர்வு காண்போம் என்று ஊடகவியலாளர்களிடமும் பத்திரிகையாளர் களிடமும் நான் தெரிவித்திருந்தேன்.
அந்த அடிப்படையில், 60 ஆண்டு காலமாக தேவதானம் அருள்மிகு பிரசன்னீஸ்வரர் மற்றும் ரங்கநாதசுவாமி திருக்கோயில் நிர்வாகத்தில் பலமுறைகேடுகளையும் நிர்வாகச் சீர்கேடுகளையும் செய்து வந்த பரம்பரை அறங்காவலரை நீக்க பல அரசியல் கட்சியினரும் முயன்றும் இயலாத நிலையில், நாம் மேற்கொண்ட முயற்சியால் பரம்பரை அறங்காவலர் ஏ.ஆர். கோபி தற்காலிக பதவி நீக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது பொன்னேரி வட்ட மக்களுக்கு பெரு மகிழ்ச்சியையும் மனநிறைவையும் தந்துள்ளது.
