வடகிழக்குப் பருவமழை
மழையின் காரணமாக விழும் மரங்கள் மற்றும் மரக்கிளைகளை அகற்றும் வகையில் மர அறுவை இயந்திரங்கள், மழைநீர் தேங்கினால் அவற்றை அகற்றும் வகையில் 700 க்கும் மேற்பட்ட மோட்டார் பம்புகள் ஆகியவை தயார்நிலையில் உள்ளது. நீர்நிலைகளில் உள்ள ஆகாயத்தாமரைகள் மற்றும் வண்டல்கள் அகற்றப்பட்டு மழைநீர் எளிதில் செல்லும் வகையில் வழிவகை செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. வடகிழக்குப் பருவமழையை எதிர்கொள்ளும் வகையிலும், பொதுமக்களும் எவ்வித பாதிப்பும் ஏற்படாத வகையிலும் அனைத்து நடவடிக்கைகளும் தீவிரமாக மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளது’’ எனத் தெரிவித்தார்.
