தியாகி இம்மானுவேல் சேகரனார் திருவுருவச் சிலையுடன் கூடிய மணிமண்டபம் அமைக்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்பது அப்பகுதி மக்களின் நீண்ட நாள் கோரிக்கையாக இருந்தது. இந்நிலையில் தேவேந்திர குல வேளாளர் கல்வியாளர் குழு, தேவேந்திரர் பண்பாட்டுக் கழகம், இம்மானுவேல் சேகரனாரின் மகள் சூரிய சுந்தரி பிரபா ராணி மற்றும் அன்னாரது பேரன் சக்கரவர்த்தி ஆகியோர் முதலமைச்சர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலினை நேரில் சந்தித்து இக்கோரிக்கையினை வலியுறுத்தினர்.

தியாகி இம்மானுவேல் சேகரனார் 1924-ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 9 அன்று பிறந்தார். இவரது சொந்த ஊர் முதுகுளத்தூர் வட்டம், செல்லூர் கிராமம் ஆகும். இவர் 1942-இல் ஆங்கிலேயர்களுக்கு எதிராக வெள்ளையனே வெளியேறு இயக்கத்தில் கலந்து கொண்டு சிறைவாசம் சென்றார். மேலும், ஒடுக்கப்பட்டோர் விடுதலைக்காகவும் போராடியவர் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
