ஆழ்கடலில் மீன் பிடிக்கச் செல்லும் படகின் விலை தோராயமாக ஒரு கோடியே 30 லட்சம் ரூபாய் ஆகும். நாட்டுப் படகு வைத்திருப்போர் ஆழ்கடல் மீன்பிடி படகு வாங்குவதற்கு படகின் விலையில் 60% தொகை அரசு மானியமாக வழங்குகின்றது என்று கூறிய அமைச்சர், மீனவர்களின் வாழ்வாதாரத்திலும் நல்வாழ்விலும் அரசு அக்கறை கொண்டுள்ளது என்று தெரிவித்தார்.
மீனவப்பெண்கள் வருவாய் ஈட்ட மாற்று வேலைகளில் ஈடுபடலாம். கடல் பாசி வளர்த்தல், சுகாதாரமான முறையில் நவீனமாக கருவாடு உற்பத்தி செய்தல், இறால் குஞ்சு வளர்ப்பு போன்றவற்றில் இவர்கள் ஈடுபடலாம். முத்ரா போன்ற கடன் வழங்கும் திட்டங்கள் மூலம் மூலதனத்துக்கான கடன்களை இவர்கள் பெற்றுக் கொள்ளலாம். அரசின் பல்வேறு கடன் திட்டங்கள் மூலமாக தண்டல் முறை ஒழிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது என்று இணையமைச்சர் டாக்டர் எல். முருகன் மேலும் தெரிவித்தார்.
புதுச்சேரி மக்களின் நீண்ட நாள் கோரிக்கையான தூண்டில் வளவு அமைத்து தரவேண்டும் என்ற கோரிக்கை பரிசீலிக்கப்பட்டு விரைவில் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்படும். காலாப்பட்டு, ராஜ்பவன், மணவெளி தொகுதிகளில் ரூ.100 கோடி செலவு மதிப்பீட்டில் மீன்பிடித் துறைமுக மேம்பாடு, இறங்குமுகம் அமைத்தல் (Landing Center) ஆகியவற்றுக்கான திட்டத்துக்கு அனுமதி ஆணை வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இன்னும் ஒரு மாதத்தில் இதற்கான தொடக்க விழா நடைபெறும் என்றும் இணையமைச்சர் டாக்டர் எல்.முருகன் மேலும் தெரிவித்தார்.
