தமிழ்நாட்டில் ஆவின் நெய் விலை அனைத்து அளவுகளிலும் உயர்த்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. 100 கிராம் நெய் 75 ரூபாயிலிருந்து 85 ரூபாயாகவும், 200 கிராம் 145 ரூபாயிலிருந்து 160 ரூபாயாகவும், 500 கிராம் 315 ரூபாயிலிருந்து 365 ரூபாயாகவும், ஒரு கிலோ நெய் விலை 630 ரூபாயிலிருந்து 700 ரூபாயாகவும் உயர்த்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதாவது ஒரு கிலோ நெய் விலை ரூ.70 முதல் ரூ.100 வரை உயர்த்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதேபோல், வெண்ணெய் விலை அரை கிலோ 265 ரூபாயிலிருந்து ரூ.280 ஆக உயர்த்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதாவது வெண்ணெய் விலை கிலோவுக்கு ரூ.30 உயர்த்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த விலை உயர்வு கண்டிக்கத்தக்கது.
