]]>முத்தமிழ் அறிஞர் கருணாநிதி நூற்றாண்டை முன்னிட்டு, முதலமைச்சர் மு.க. ஸ்டாலின் தலைமையில் தி.மு.க மகளிர் அணி சார்பில் சென்னையில் அக்டோபர் 14 ஆம் தேதி மகளிர் உரிமை மாநாடு நடக்க உள்ளது. இதில், சோனியா காந்தி, பிரியங்கா உள்ளிட்ட இண்டியா கூட்டணியின் முக்கிய தலைவர்கள் பங்கேற்பதாக கனிமொழி எம்.பி. தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
இதுகுறித்து திமுக துணை பொதுச் செயலாளர் கனிமொழி எம்.பி. வெளியிட்ட அறிக்கை:
‘’முன்னாள் முதல்வர் கருணாநிதி அனைத்து துறைகளிலும் பெண்கள் முன்னேற்றத்துக்காகவும், பெண் உரிமைக்காகவும் பல சிறப்பான திட்டங்களை செயல்படுத்தியுள்ளார். அரசு வேலைவாய்ப்பு, உள்ளாட்சி தேர்தலில் பெண்களுக்கு இடஒதுக்கீடு, பெண்களுக்கு சொத்துரிமை தொடர்பான சட்டங்கள், அவரது ஆட்சியில்தான் கொண்டு வரப்பட்டன.
