]]>பத்தாம் வகுப்பு பொதுத்தேர்வு முடிவுகளின் தேர்ச்சி விகிதம் அதிகரித்திருப்பது ஒருபுறம் மகிழ்ச்சி அளித்தாலும், மறுபுறம் கடந்த 43 ஆண்டுகளாக தொடரும் துயரம் நடப்பாண்டிலும் 44-ஆவது ஆண்டாக தொடருவது தான் வருத்தம் அளிக்கிறது. 10 மற்றும் 12-ஆம் வகுப்பு பொதுத்தேர்வுகள் 1980-ஆம் ஆண்டு அறிமுகம் செய்யப்பட்ட பிறகு இன்று வரை 44 ஆண்டுகளாகவே வட மாவட்டங்கள் கடைசி இடங்களைத் தான் பிடித்து வருகின்றன.
இம்மாதத் தொடக்கத்தில் முடிவுகள் வெளியிடப்பட்ட 12-ஆம் வகுப்பு பொதுத்தேர்வு முடிவுகளில் வட மாவட்டங்கள் தான் கடைசி இடத்தை பிடித்திருந்தன. இப்போது வெளியிடப்பட்டுள்ள பத்தாம் வகுப்பு பொதுத்தேர்வு முடிவுகளிலும் அதே நிலை தான் தொடர்கிறது.

வட மாவட்டங்கள் தொடர்ந்து கடைசி இடத்தில் வருவது உள்ளங்கை நெல்லிக் கனியாக தெரியும் போது, அரசு அதில் தலையிட்டு அதற்கான காரணங்களைக் கண்டறிந்து சரி செய்திருக்க வேண்டும். ஆனால், தேர்ச்சி விகிதம் குறைவதற்கான காரணங்களை பட்டியலிட்டு அரசுக்கு தந்தாலும் கூட, அதன் மீது நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க அரசுக்கு விருப்பமில்லை என்றால், யார் என்ன செய்ய முடியும்?
