]]>இந்திய வம்சாவளி மலையகத் தமிழர்கள் இலங்கைக்குச் சென்று 200 ஆண்டுகள் (1823 – – 2023) ஆவதை நினைவுகூரும் வகையிலும், அவர்கள் இலங்கைக்கு ஆற்றிய சேவைகளையும், இலங்கையின் பொருளாதாரத்துக்கு வழங்கிய பங்களிப்பைப் பாராட்டியும் இலங்கை மத்திய அரசாங்கத்தின் பங்களிப்புடன் இலங்கை அமைச்சர் ஜீவன் தொண்டமான் அவர்களால் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்ட ‘நாம் 200’ என்ற தலைப்பிலான தேசிய நிகழ்வில் (கொழும்பு), முதலமைச்சர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் காணொலி வாயிலாக வழங்கிய வாழ்த்துரை வருமாறு:–

இலங்கையில் வாழும் மலையகத் தமிழ் மக்களின் வாழ்வு என்பது 200 ஆண்டுகளை எட்டுகிறது. இரண்டு நூற்றாண்டுகாலமாக தனிப்பெரும் இனமாக வாழ்ந்துவரும் மலையகத் தமிழ் மக்களுக்கு எனது வாழ்த்துகள்!
இந்த நிகழ்ச்சியில் நான் காணொலி மூலமாக உரையாற்ற வேண்டும் என வேண்டுகோள் விடுத்த அருமை சகோதரர் ஜீவன் தொண்டமான் அவர்களுக்கு எனது நன்றியை முதலில் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன்.
காடுகளை மாற்றிய மலையகத் தமிழர்கள்!
மனிதன் வாழ்ந்திராத மலைக் காடுகளை மலையகத் தோட்டங்களாக மாற்றியவர்கள் மலையகத் தமிழர்கள்! மலையகத் தமிழ்த் தொழிலாளர்களின் வரலாறு – இலங்கையில் காப்பி பயிர் செய்யப்பட்ட ஆரம்பகாலம் முதல் தொடங்குகிறது.
1823-ஆம் ஆண்டு கம்பளைக்கு அருகே உள்ள சிங்கபிட்டிய என்ற கிராமத்தில் கேப்டன் ஹென்றி பேட் என்ற பிரிட்டிஷ்காரர், 14 இந்தியத் தொழிலாளர்களையும் சில சிங்களத் தொழிலாளர்களையும் வைத்து காப்பித் தோட்டம் தொடங்கினார். இது இலங்கைப் பொருளாதாரத்தில் மகத்தான மாற்றத்தை உருவாக்கியது.
காப்பித் தோட்டங்கள் பெருகப்பெருக இந்தியத் தொழிலாளர்கள் ஏராளமாக இலங்கைக்கு அழைத்துச் செல்லப்பட்டனர். காப்பி தோட்டத்தையடுத்து தேயிலைத் தோட்டங்கள் அதிகமானது. அதனையும் மலையகத் தமிழர்கள் வளப்படுத்தினார்கள். பின்னர் ரப்பர், தென்னை என அனைத்துப் பணப் பயிர்களது உற்பத்தியும்மலையகத் தமிழர்களது உழைப்பால் உருவானதுதான்.
மகத்தான பங்களிப்பை வழங்கும் தமிழர்கள்!
பயிரிடப்படாத நிலத்தை பயிரிட்டும் – காடுகளாக இருந்த நிலத்தை காசுப் பயிர்களாக விளைவித்தும் பின்தங்கிய பொருளாதாரத்தை முன்னணி பொருளாதாரமாக ஆக்கியவர்கள் மலையகத் தோட்டத் தொழிலாளர்கள்! இப்படி கடந்த 200 ஆண்டுகளாக இலங்கையின் நல்வாழ்வுக்கு மகத்தான பங்களிப்பை வழங்கியுள்ளனர். இன்னமும் வழங்கி வருகின்றனர்.
அதாவது இலங்கை நாட்டுக்காக தங்களது உழைப்பை வழங்கியவர்கள் மலையகத் தமிழர்கள். இலங்கை நாடு உயர உழைத்தவர்கள். தங்களது ரத்தத்தையும் வியர்வையையும் காலத்தையும் கடமையையும் அந்த நாட்டுக்காகவே ஒப்படைத்தவர்கள்.
திராவிட முன்னேற்றக் கழகம் தோன்றிய காலம்முதல் புலம்பெயர் தமிழர்களது உரிமையைக் காப்பதில் கண்ணும் கருத்துமாகச் செயல்பட்டுள்ளது.
எப்போதும் குரல் கொடுக்கும் கழகம்!
1952-ஆம் ஆண்டு தி.மு.க.வின் முதல் மாநில மாநாட்டில் பேசும்போது பேரறிஞர் அண்ணா அவர்கள், “இலங்கை வாழ் திராவிட மக்களுக்காக ஓட்டு உரிமையைக் கொடுத்து நீதியை நிலைநிறுத்துங்கள். ஜனநாயகத்தைக் கேலி செய்யாதீர். வீண் போக்கு வெற்றியைத் தராது” என்று பேசினார்.
தி.மு.க.வின் இரண்டாவது மாநில மாநாட்டில் தனி தீர்மானமே நிறைவேற்றப்பட்டது. 1957 தேர்தல் அறிக்கையில், தமிழர்கள் நிறைந்துள்ள வெளிநாடுகளில், தமிழர்களே தூதுவர்களாக நியமிக்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்று திமுக கோரியது. இப்படி தமிழ் மக்களது உரிமைகளுக்காக ஆரம்பகாலம் முதல் குரல் கொடுக்கும் இயக்கம் திராவிட முன்னேற்றக் கழகம்.
“கடல் நீர் உப்பாக இருப்பது ஏன்? அது கடல் கடந்த தமிழர்களின் கண்ணீரால்!” என்று எழுதினார் பேரறிஞர் அண்ணா அவர்கள்.
மலையகத் தமிழர்கள் தமிழ்நாட்டிற்கு திரும்பியபோது அவர்களை அரவணைத்து தமிழக மலைப்பகுதிகளில் குடியமர்த்தி TANTEA, அரசு ரப்பர் தோட்டங்கள் மூலம் அவர்கள் வாழ்வில் உயர வழிவகை செய்தோம்.
தொப்புள்கொடி உறவுகளுக்கு தமிழ்நாடு என்றும் துணை நிற்கும்!
அந்த உணர்வோடுதான் அனைத்துப் பிரச்சினைகளையும் அணுகி துயர் துடைக்கும் பணிகளில் நாங்கள் ஈடுபட்டு வருகிறோம். உரிமை காக்கவும் உதவிகள் செய்து வருகிறோம். அந்த வகையில், மலையக தமிழ் மக்களின் நீதியும் உரிமையும் நிலைநாட்டப்பட வேண்டும் என்றுகேட்டுக் கொள்கிறேன்.
மலையக தமிழர்களின் குழந்தைகளின் கல்விக்கு முக்கியத்துவம் கொடுக்கப்பட வேண்டும். இலங்கையில் வாழும் அனைத்து மக்களையும் போல கல்வியிலும் பொருளாதார முன்னேற்றத்திலும் அவர்கள் மேலெழும்பும் காலத்தை எதிர்நோக்கி தமிழ்நாடு காத்திருக்கிறது. கல்வி, சுகாதாரம், வாழிட உரிமைகள், பொருளாதார உதவிகள், சமூக உரிமைகள் அனைத்தும் வழங்கப்பட வேண்டும்.
நாட்டை வாழ வைத்த மக்களை வாழ வைக்க அனைத்து நடவடிக்கைகளும் எடுக்கப்பட வேண்டும். அதற்காக தொப்புள் கொடி உறவுகளான தமிழ்நாடு என்றும் குரல் கொடுக்கும். நன்றி. வணக்கம்.
