]]> தெலுங்கு திரைப்படத்தில் 1973 ம் ஆண்டு நடித்ததன் மூலம் திரையுலகிற்கு நடிகராக அறிமுகமானவர் சரத்பாபு. இவர் 1977-ஆம் ஆண்டு இயக்குனர் கே.பாலசந்தர் இயக்கத்தில் வெளியான ‘பட்டின பிரவேசம்’ திரைப்படத்தின் மூலம் தமிழில் அறிமுகமானார்.

பின்னர் தமிழ், தெலுங்கு, மலையாளம் என பல மொழிகளில் கவனம் செலுத்தினார். இவர் ரஜினிகாந்துடன் முத்து, அண்ணாமலை, போன்ற படங்களில் இணைந்து நடித்துள்ளார். இந்த படங்கள் சூப்பர் ஹிட் வெற்றி பெற்றது. மேலும் பல முன்னணி நடிகர்களுடனும் இணைந்து நடித்துள்ளார்.

இதுவரை 200-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட படங்களில் நடித்துள்ளார். சரத்பாபு கடந்த சில தினங்களுக்கு முன்பு சிறுநீரகம், கல்லீரல், நுரையீரல் போன்ற முக்கிய உறுப்புகளை பாதிக்கும் செப்சிஸ் நோயால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட சரத்பாபு ஐதராபாத்தில் உள்ள தனியார் மருத்துவமனையில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டு சிகிச்சை பெற்று வந்த நிலையில் இன்று சிகிச்சை பலனின்றி உயிரிழந்தார். இவரது மறைவு திரையுலகினரை சோகத்தில் ஆழ்த்தியுள்ளது.

இந்நிலையில், மறைந்த நடிகர் சரத்பாபுவிற்கு இரங்கல் தெரிவித்து முதலமைச்சர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் அறிக்கை ஒன்றை வெளியிட்டுள்ளார்.

அதில், “தென்னிந்தியத் திரையுலகில் தனக்கெனத் தனி முத்திரை பதித்து வலம் வந்த நடிகர் சரத்பாபு மறைந்தார் என்ற செய்தியறிந்து மிகவும் வருந்தினேன். நிழல் நிஜமாகிறது, முள்ளும் மலரும், உதிரிப்பூக்கள், வேலைக்காரன், அண்ணாமலை, முத்து போன்ற ஏராளமான திரைப்படங்களில் அவர் ஏற்று நடித்த கதாபாத்திரங்கள் இன்றும் தமிழ் இரசிகர்களால் நினைவுக்கூரப்படுகிறது. அவரது மறைவால் வாடும் குடும்பத்தினர், திரையுலகினர், உறவினர்கள் மற்றும் நண்பர்களுக்கு எனது ஆழ்ந்த இரங்கல்” என அவர் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

நடிகர் ரஜனிகாந்த், “இன்று என்னுடைய நெருங்கிய நண்பர், அருமையான மனிதர் சரத்பாபுவை நான் இழந்திருக்கிறேன். இது ஈடுகட்ட முடியாத இழப்பு. அவருடைய ஆத்மா சாந்தியடையட்டும்” என்று குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.

நடிகர் சரத்பாபு -வின் 50 ஆண்டு திரை வாழ்க்கை நிறைவுபெற்றது.
